Dressed in a festive holiday dress, this collectable Byers' Choice® girl carries a delicious Christmas pudding. The British claim pudding as part of their culinary heritage. Seventeenth-century English puddings were either savory (meat-based) or sweet (flour, nuts, and sugar) and were typically boiled in special pudding bags. The "pease porridge" from the old nursery rhyme was most likely a simple boiled pudding of pease meal. By the latter half 18th century, traditional English puddings no longer included meat.

Made in Pennsylvania, each Byers' Choice® figure is lovingly hand-detailed and dressed in period-inspired clothing. A wonderful Colonial Williamsburg memento! (For decorative use only; not meant to be used as a doll or toy.)
As Virginia's colonial capital, Williamsburg was a crucible where people from different backgrounds shaped and were shaped by their encounters with one another. Those encounters helped forge our American values and eventually our very identity. From tavern keepers to artisans, gentry to slaves, politicians to plebeians, colonists in an array of apparel could be seen interacting during the hustle and bustle of town life. These hand-made figures capture the many ordinary and extraordinary activities that filled their days.
