Simply timeless. Classic mantle clocks, like this one, have been chiming in American homes for centuries. This barrister-style mantle clock has a rich cherry finish with corner inlays. Clock features include half hour Bim-Bam strike, mechanical strike movement, and an eight-day power reserve. There are several examples of eight-day bracket clocks in the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation collections including one made in London by John Ellicott around 1740. While the style and design of clock movements, especially their dials, and clock cases have changed over time with new advances, evolving fashions, and regional preferences, this beautiful clock is truly age. 8½"H x 7½"W x 4½"D
