This bucket is a copper-plated interpretation of a tin bucket in the Colonial Williamsburg collections. For decorative purposes only. 8 1/2"H x 9" dia.
This decorative bucket is a copper-plated interpretation of a tin-lined copper bucket made in England or America circa 1750-1850. Copper pots and pans of all sorts were advertised for sale by colonial store merchants. The September 19, 1766 Virginia Gazette, for instance, carried an advertisement placed by John Greenhow noting that his establishment stocked "most sorts of copper.”
