Unabashedly regal. Still used daily at the King's Arms Tavern. The famed lion and unicorn coat of arms of Britain's royal Hanover line (1714-1837) embellishes this popular and historic creamware with a subtle green cast. Stately, yes, but also dishwasher and microwave safe. 9 3/4"
Tavernware is based on period delft designs that have been interpreted for modern dinnerware. Plates take the form and shape of delft plates of the period while hollowares, such as teacups and teapots, have been adapted for modern requirements. Tavernware is decorated with elements from eighteenth-century patterns and is used in the taverns operating today in the Historic Area of Williamsburg.
