An adorable stocking stuffer or birthday gift for kids young and old. Jumping jack toys were very popular with children of all ages in both the 18th and 19th centuries. This charming wooden jumping jack was created in the image of Martha Washington from a picture in the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation collections. All paints and other materials meet American Society for Testing and Materials f963-11 standards. Made of wood. 8"H
Martha Dandridge Custis Washington was born at Chestnut Grove in New Kent County, Virginia, June 2, 1731. Although Martha remained at Mount Vernon when George went to Philadelphia as a delegate to the Second Continental Congress, she often accompanied him to his headquarters during the war years.
