Root Beer of Chowning's Tavern
Chowning’s Tavern Root Beer evolved from a colonial beer made by boiling the roots of sassafras, dandelion or licorice to extract their pungent flavors. The brew of 200 years ago was then sweetened and fermented in wooden casks. 12 oz. bottle. Non-alcoholic.

This is a fantastic product that is also served in the various eateries around CW. Whenever we are in the area, we purchase it by the case to last us a while, because it has such a unique flavor. Definitely worthwhile!
