This charming Christiana Campbell's Tavern Teapot blue and white pattern, incorporating a squirrel with grapevine, is based on fragments of a delft plate discovered in Williamsburg. It is a variation of a familiar Chinese pattern, indicating the fascination with Oriental motifs in England and the colonies during the eighteenth century. Dishwasher and microwave safe.
Holds 18 1/2 oz.. Use caution with hot liquids.
Tavernware is based on period delft designs that have been interpreted for modern dinnerware. Plates take the form and shape of delft plates of the period while hollowares, such as teacups and teapots, have been adapted for modern requirements. Tavernware is decorated with elements from eighteenth-century patterns and is used in the taverns operating today in the Historic Area of Williamsburg.
    Dishwasher and microwave safe
