Product Care
A lint brush or the small attachment for the vacuum cleaner can help to remove loose fur or dust from clothes. To dust the faces, try a small cosmetic brush and clean gently. If your figurines hair becomes too frizzy, spray lightly with a little hair spray. If a skirt gets wrinkled or a jacket gets mussed while packed away, use a hand-held clothes steamer to ease out the wrinkles.
Inspiration
As Virginia's colonial capital, Williamsburg was a crucible where people from different backgrounds shaped and were shaped by their encounters with one another. Those encounters helped forge our American values and eventually our very identity. From tavern keepers to artisans, gentry to enslaved persons, politicians to plebeians, colonists in an array of apparel could be seen interacting during the hustle and bustle of town life. These hand-made figures capture the many ordinary and extraordinary activities that filled their days.
