- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease muffin pan.
- Combine muffin mix with 1 egg, 1 cup milk, and 2.5 tablespoons of softened butter or margarine (not melted). Add 1/4 cup chopped pecans if desired. Mix well. Fill muffin pan cups until 1/2 full.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes or until lightly browned. Dust with sugar and serve warm. Yields 8-12 muffins, depending on size of muffin pans.
