Inspiration
The dark ivory color of this flameless candle closely resemble the natural beeswax tapers sold in the Historic Area. In the Candlemaker's Shop, candlemakers render tallow, refine and clean tallow and wax, and make candles by the processes of dipping and molding. Candles were a valuable commodity in the 18th century. Seven candles lighting a single room would have been considered a luxury. They were often placed in front of reflective surfaces, such as mirrors and brass, to maximize their light.
