Dear Customers,

We are very excited to welcome you to our new online store! We've added some new features, improved navigation, and updated some policies to provide better service to you. There are a few discontinued services and products we'll let you know about too. Read on for the details.

Claim Your Registered Account

If you created an account in our old online store, we have moved over your email and primary address, but we have not moved any of your saved credit card, order history, wish list, shipping addresses, or password information. This is for your own security. If you checked out as a guest, only placed your order over the phone with customer service, or have not ordered with us in the last year, we have not migrated your online account. You will need to create a new account

Follow these steps to claim your registered account:

  1. Click on the person icon in the top right corner of our website.

  2. On the left side of the screen under Login, you will see a link "Forgot Your Password". Click on the link.

  3. Enter your email address into the field and click "Reset Password". You will receive an email with a link that will take you to a reset password page. Update your password and log in. 

If you experience any issues logging in, contact us for assistance.

New Email and Password Requirements for Registered Customers

We have a new password requirement to help protect your information. You must enter a password that uses at least 7 characters, and contains one each of the following characters: uppercase letter, lowercase letter, a number, and a special character in any order. For example, @Bcd3f . We recommend that you create a unique password that you use only for this website as an additional security step.

Registered customers can now change their email address and password independently through their account online. The next time you log in, navigate to the person icon, and select "settings".

To purchase from our online store, or over the phone with customer service, you must have an email address. If you do not have an email address, we recommend creating a free Gmail account

Please note that you can no longer have two accounts using the same email address. You are welcome to have more than one account using different email addresses.

Improved Navigation

Over the years we have heard from many of you about how hard it was to find products in our store. We took these comments to heart and have made some big changes.

We removed most of the links in the top navigation menu that took you off the shopping website to other Colonial Williamsburg websites. You can still access those websites through the About page of this website. 

We researched how you were searching for products on our website and updated our categories. For example, we have elevated our popular Bath and Spa category and added more sub-categories for soap, lotion, etc. so you can get right to the products you want to see. We also removed duplicate sub-categories on the website which were causing confusion.   

Look under Shop by Collection to find 18th Century Goods, Made in USA, and Williamsburg Exclusives, plus our new Colonial Williamsburg Places categories that bring together all the products related to the most-loved spots on our property, such as the Governor's Palace, taverns, gardens, and trade shops. We hope you will find this a fun way to find merchandise that reminds you of your trip to Colonial Williamsburg!  

You now have two options to navigate products in categories. If you prefer to see products listed horizontally with the first few sentences of the product description, click the List View icon to change your view. To change back to a grid layout, click the Grid View icon.

New Policies

In most cases, we are no longer accepting orders for out of stock items. This has significantly delayed shipment of your products, especially during the holiday season, resulting in disappointment. Exceptions to this are special orders such as our Raleigh Tavern fresh-baked ginger cookies shipped weekly, Trend and Tradition subscriptions, made-to-order jewelry, and new Colonial Williamsburg publications available for pre-orders.

We want it always to be clear to you what the status is of the items you order, and when you can expect to receive them.

We are now stocking many items that used to ship from our manufacturers, and will be adding more items back to the website over the coming weeks. We don't want you to wait too long to receive your merchandise.

Discontinued Products and Services

Our Wedding Registry has been discontinued. We think there are online web registry providers that will provide a better service to you. We recommend you try MyRegistry.com where you can add products to your registry from multiple retailers. 

We are no longer stocking wallpaper online. Please visit the York Wallpaper's website to order Williamsburg wallpapers directly.

Home decorating fabric can no longer be purchased online. Home decorating fabric is still available at Williamsburg at Home in Merchant Square.

Custom furniture orders can no longer be purchased through our online store or through customer service. You can still browse our custom furniture catalog, then use the contact form on our Custom Made Furniture page to reach our furniture experts at Williamsburg at Home

At this time, gift wrapping is only available for orders purchased over the phone. We are working towards restoring this service for online shoppers.

More Good Things to Come

We will be adding some new brands and products to the website over the coming months that we think you are going to love, just in time for the holiday shopping season! We are also in the process of adding products from the old website to the new website, so a few items may be temporarily unavailable, but they will be back online soon.
