Inspiration
A copperplate printed fabric dating from 1774-1811 in our collections (object # 1951-364,1) is the inspiration behind the pattern on our Mason Reserve linens. See the original in our online archives.
Millions of wine bottles have been excavated in Williamsburg, Virginia - each with a story. Wine was very much a part of life in the revolutionary city. Shopkeeper John Greenhow sold wine, groceries, and fine imported goods to a "Who's Who" of Virginia residents. Indeed, Washington and Jefferson were shareholders in Virginia’s first wine company. It is this legacy that has inspired our iconic Mason Reserve collection.
