Toile, a favorite 18-th century design, remains popular today. Delicate toile designs often created floral assemblages or pictorial scenes. An 18th-century copperplate printed fabric in The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation collections inspired this floral toile, and full-color sunflower blooms have been added to create a fun, layered look for the table.
