The artist uses a series of curved brushes to paint the artwork through a small opening in the top of the bulb. The result is a unique, artful ornament - no two are exactly the same! This ornament features the Governor's Palace, with trees and a horse-drawn carriage, in a black-and-white design. Each ornament is boxed in a black velvet box, ready for gifting. Sold individually.

Inspiration
At the time of its completion in 1722, the Governor's Palace was considered the finest such building in British America. It was built to display the colony's wealth, power, and permanence. The Governor's Palace was home to five lieutenant governors, two royal governors, Virginia's first two elected governors, and hundreds of servants and enslaved people.
