Product Description
This sterling silver pendant is inscribed with, "Do small things with great love," with Mother Teresa's signature and a small heart. Mother Teresa was widely recognized for her missionary work. She received many awards for her service including the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979 and was canonized as a saint on September 4, 2016, the anniversary of her death. She was one of the most venerated people of the 20th Century and was a true admirer of St. Frances of Assisi and the Franciscan way of spirituality. St. Francis' prayer beginning, "Lord make me an instrument of thy peace" was particularly meaningful to her. 18" chain.

Inspiration
Colonial Williamsburg's DeWitt Wallace Collections and Conservation Building contains a small sampling of eighteenth- and nineteenth-century jewelry. The pieces are valued more for their beauty, or their historical associations, than their monetary worth. Precious and semiprecious stones - diamonds, rubies, emeralds, topaz, and garnets - were as highly prized in the colonial period as they are today, as were gold and silver.

Pendant
I love this necklace. My husband ordered it as a wonderful reminder of St Theresa as well of our joy filled visits to Williamsburg. I wish there was an option for a longer chain so the wearer could see the mobius style pendant while wearing it. I have ordered a longer chain to replace the standard 18” very pretty and delicate standard chain. I plan to give the 18” to my daughter.
