Inspiration
The beautiful aerial photograph of the Governor's Palace by Tom Green is the featured image on our puzzle. The ballroom garden features diamond- and oval-shaped parterres also seen in The Bodleian Plate, a copperplate engraving from about 1740, which includes the Governor’s Palace and surrounding gardens among other Williamsburg buildings. Today the parterres are planted with American boxwood (Buxus sempervirens).
