Hamilton Floral Blue Fabric

Product Description

Hamilton Blue Floral Fabric has blue blossoms, buds, and vines in a trailing pattern on a natural white background. The overall design is the same featured on our Trailing Blossoms Cream and Trailing Blossoms Red fabrics and dates to 1770-1790.

Please note: Fabric is sold by the yard and is not returnable. Multiple yards will be cut in one continuous piece. A maximum of 25 yards per cut applies to this product. 

Product Care

Wash by hand or on the gentle cycle in cool water. Line dry or tumble dry on air or low heat. Iron on the reverse side of the print on low. Do not use bleach.

Inspiration

Adapted from an 18th-century fabric from the Colonial Williamsburg collections. Monochromatic indigo blue printed cottons such as Hamilton Blue Floral would have been a good choice for balancing fashion and frugality. Unlike some other dyed cottons of the period, indigo was not fugitive, meaning it would not fade or change colors over time and could be cleaned more easily than other printed cottons.

All new and re-introduced Colonial Williamsburg Reproduction Fabrics are OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified. Our fabrics are digitally printed with fiber-reactive dyes - not pigments - to ensure better color fastness over time. We have worked closely with the company that previously made our traditionally printed fabrics to ensure our digital prints are as good as the originals.
