Inspiration
In the 18th century, ginger root, sassafras, or spruce were added as flavorings to table beers.
Originally opened by Jane Vobe in 1772, King's Arm Tavern in the restored Historic Area of Colonial Williamsburg is a reproduction public house that offers a transporting sensory experience for diners today. Everything is true to the time period at King's Arms Tavern, from the clothing worn by servers to the pewter candlesticks. The menu is inspired by 18th-century recipes but updated to suit 21st-century tastes.

Tavern Ginger Ale
I've ordered before a while ago. We love this ginger ale. It's light and crisp. My husband noted that he wished it had more of the full bodied ginger flavor but also said he enjoyed it just the same. It's tasty regardless. I will order again at some point.

Kings Arm Gingerale
Purchased the gingerale many times in Colonial Williamsburg and had it shipped to my home. Just received another shipment and extremely disappointed. The flavor is nothing like the previous ginger ale. Does not have the rich ginger taste. The color is white/clear. The ginger ale that I have had in the past was a golden color. I won’t be purchasing anymore ginger ale. It is nothing the same. It tastes more like week ginger beer.
