Inspiration
Before there were sliders and bumpers to put under furniture to prevent scuffs, people used decorated pieces of leather to protect their furnishings. They also proved useful in protecting wood from dripping candle wax.

Leather Spots
I was disappointed when I realized after opening the cardboard package that enclosed the leather spots, that the leather is not embossed with the gilded edges as in past years. The leather is embossed, but is not gilded. It is somewhat misleading. The website description does show them not gilded, but the box they come in shows the leather gilded. I have bought these several times in the past because I have liked them so much. They are useful, practical and were pretty. I very much miss the gilded embossed edge. I would have been willing to pay more for them to have remained the way they were. I don't like them nearly as much without the gilded edging. Please offer them again gilded. Thank you.
