Inspiration
The tavern check pattern is interpreted from a textile in the Colonial Williamsburg collections. Simple woven checks were very common in the 18th century and often were found on household linens.

Just what I was expecting and I love the shade of blue!!

These black tavern check placemats are not cut correctly on the fabric. The stitches are uneven and not sewn straight.
I am not happy with these items and will not purchase again.

Disappointed
I have the red check. They are beautiful until you was them. They shrink! I didn't dry the placenta because I was afraid it would shrink even more.
