Each chalkware piece is made from 19th-century chocolate molds. This Santa is wearing a bright red and green cloak and is carrying a sack of toys and a gold lantern. Product Care
Dust using a soft dry cloth. Store in cool, dry place. Avoid direct contact with moisture or water.
Inspiration
Each piece begins in an antique chocolate mold from the Vaillancourt collection but is then re-sculpted with a Colonial Williamsburg holiday motif. A new mold, made from the re-sculpted piece, is filled with a plaster-like substance and dried. The resulting "chalkware" is then hand-painted, bringing to life the mold maker's intricate artistry and the festivity of Colonial Williamsburg's holiday season.
