Inspiration
Our faux floral collections represent plants that were either grown in the gardens of Colonial Williamsburg or featured in artwork or rare books documenting their existence in colonial America. The 18th century was a period of great interest in the natural world, and both scientists and artists were drawn to the study of flora and fauna. Today, you can see roses and hydrangeas blooming throughout the restored Historic Area of Colonial Williamsburg.
