Inspiration
This jewelry design is reminiscent of the scroll motif popular in 18th-century decorative arts. The scroll is classic in origin, dating to days of ancient Greece. Artisans of the 18th century often combined classical and natural elements, rendering the curving scroll shape in the form of gracefully flowing leaves and vines. Precious and semiprecious stones - diamonds, rubies, emeralds, topaz, and garnet - were as highly prized in the colonial period as they are today, as were gold and silver.

Ring
Received this ring recently and it is lovely. I thought the amethyst was beautiful and I also loved the silver. It looks brushed and just is pretty. I have this scroll ring in a sapphire and a sapphire in gold. I love the scroll rings so much! CW is my happy place and the quality of the pieces they sell are tops!

Scroll Ring Amethyst
Received this today and the ring is lovely. The amethyst is a pretty shade of purple and the silver is shiny and perfect. I own this ring in sapphire in gold and silver, both for about 14 years. Wear them all the time and always remember my visits to Colonial Williamsburg. If you love elegant , timeless designs this ring is for you!
