Inspiration
During the eighteenth century, Delft pottery served, in part, as a less expensive imitation of Chinese porcelain. This tin-glazed earthenware was made in the Netherlands and other parts of Continental Europe, but most of the Delftware owned in colonial America was manufactured in England.
