Inspiration
The original wallpaper that inspired our reproduction fabric was made in France, circa 1770-1785. Created during a time when scientific discovery and decorative arts beautifully intertwined, this wallpaper fragment captures the natural world in delicate detail. Clusters of pink and red blooms, fluttering butterflies, and leafy green branches stretch across a soft white background, anchored by a brown branch that spans diagonally. Carefully pieced together and preserved, this 18th-century design reflects the enduring appeal of elegant chintz.
