Inspiration
Many variations of flags were used in the American colonies during the years leading up to the American Revolutionary War, during the war years, and after the war during the Early American period. It's difficult to document the exact origins of the flags and who invented them, as cartoons and designs were often copied during the 18th century.

flag pin set
I bought this set for the 3 striped flags, Grand Union, Betsy Ross, & Bennington. The Gadsden and Join or Die flags were gravy. After mounting the pins on my cap, I kept the card for the historic notes. The only thing I did not like was that they were not all the same size.
