Inspiration
Eighteenth-century inhabitants of Williamsburg occasionally made their own soap by boiling lime-ash and fat products over an outdoor fire. However, those who could afford them preferred the finer imported soaps available from local merchants. Imported soaps were generally scented and colored. Some were even stamped with decorative emblems or trademarks, which signified that the soap was the highest quality. Soap made from olive oil was considered the mildest and finest soap available during the colonial period. Our Historic Soap Bar Set includes triple-milled vegetable soaps enriched with virgin olive oil as they were in the 18th century.

The bars all smell so good. I can't wait to use them.
I only wish the bars were a little bigger.
