The Game of Graces was considered both proper and beneficial exercise for young ladies in the early 1800's and boys joined in on the game too. Also known as Les Graces or the Flying Circle, the Game of Graces was described as early as 1831 in the American Girl's Book and remained popular throughout the 19th century.
