Product Care

Trim the wick of your candles to about 1/4" before use. Over time, natural beeswax candles can develop "bloom" on the surface. Bloom appears as a white film and isn't a defect; it's a natural process on 100% beeswax candles. To remove bloom, gently rub the surface with a soft cloth. 

Inspiration

Before the invention of oil lamps and electricity, candles were a household necessity in Williamsburg. The most common tallow candles burned quickly, produced dim light, and had a pungent odor. Beeswax candles smelled sweet, burned cleaner and longer than tallow candles, and produced brighter light. They were expensive and highly prized, making them a luxury item during the 18th century.
