Product Care
You may notice a white film on the surface of your beeswax candles called "bloom". Bloom is not a defect but a process that occurs naturally on the surface of 100% beeswax candles. To remove the bloom, rub the surface gently with a soft cloth. Or, allow the bloom to continue for a snowflake like texture on the surface of your candles.
Inspiration
In colonial times, candles were a necessity for every household. The most commonly used tallow candles burned quickly, gave out a dim light, and had a grim odor. Not only did beeswax candles smell sweet, they also burned cleaner and longer than tallow candles, and gave out a brighter light. Beeswax candles were a luxury only the very wealthy could afford.
