Summer Heat Advisory: Many of our candles are made of natural wax materials. During the summer months, melting can occur in some geographic locations. If high heat is happening in your area, we highly recommend waiting to order candles until the fall. We cannot replace candles that melt during shipping.

Inspiration
The Raleigh Tavern, established around 1717, was one of the most significant taverns in colonial Virginia. During "Publick Times," when the courts were in session, it served as the center of social and political activity. Its location near the Capitol and its proprietors' sympathy for the colonists' cause made it a gathering place for burgesses during the 1760s and 1770s. A treasured culinary delight whenever you visit Colonial Williamsburg's Historic Area is a visit to the Raleigh Tavern Bakery just behind the Raleigh Tavern, where "ginger cakes" are a must-have treat.
