Inspiration
The tavern check pattern is interpreted from a textile in the Colonial Williamsburg collections. Simple woven checks were common in the 18th century and often appeared on household linens. The bold patterns added a lively color to everyday tasks, while also camouflaging stains.

American Spirit Kitchen towel set
The towels are pretty, but I didn't receive what was pictured. I wanted what is shown in the picture, both a buffalo check towel and one made of ticking. Both towels are the buffalo check, and I didn't get one made of the ticking/stripe.
