Inspiration
An exquisitely hand-embroidered English table cover dating to about 1650 inspired the quilting pattern on this WILLIAMSBURG bedding collection. The table cover was worked in indigo crewel yarns to protect a table displaying family silver, which inspired Richmond Matelassé's floral scroll border. The complementary field features a Gothic fret motif, popular on furniture a century later. These handsome patterns from Colonial Williamsburg's design archives combine in a "Trend Meets Tradition" look.
