Inspiration
The tradition of lighting a single candle in every window is credited to Colonial Williamsburg. Although it is not historically accurate for 18th-century Williamsburg, it was chosen as a way to decorate the Historic Area when it opened for the first Christmas celebration in 1936. With the availability of electric candles, the practice quickly gained popularity in communities across the country and is still prevalent today.

Very disappointed …
At this price point, one would expect better quality. It was purchased last September, approximately 10 months ago, and it no longer works. The bulb no longer lights after less than 1800 hours of use, although the description states up to 100,000 hours would be expected. Additionally, I had purchased the remote for $6.99 and it didn’t work. A replacement was sent to me after I called and complained, but that never worked either. It has since been discontinued. All in all, I feel as though I wasted $27+ . I would have expected a lot more from this vendor.
