Inspiration
In the 18th-century, ginger root, sassafras or spruce were added as a flavoring to table beers.
Originally opened by Jane Vobe in 1772, King's Arm Tavern in the restored Historic Area of Colonial Williamsburg is a reproduction public house that serves up a transporting experience for the senses for diners today. Everything is true to the time period at King's Arms Tavern, from the clothing worn by servers to the pewter candlesticks. The menu is inspired by 18th-century recipes, but with updates to suit 21st-century tastes.

King’s Arms Ginger Ale
This is my favorite ginger ale. I don’t use fructose and am very glad this is made with sugar. It’s not too sweet and has a nice ginger flavor.

Ginger Ale of King's Arms
This is the best ginger ale I have ever drank. I always look forward to drinking this while visiting Colonial Williamsburg and I always bring home at least 2 cases. I wish I lived closer so I could keep this in stock. Unfortunately the shipping rate is as much as a case of ginger ale.

Ginger Ale
This may be the worst tasting ginger ale I’ve ever tasted. Blenheim and Fever Tree are far superior in my opinion..

Best Ginger Ale in the US
My wife and I visited Colonial Williamsburg last year for a Convention of States Project gathering (our fourth visit to CW in our marriage). While there, my wife, who is a ginger ale connoisseur/snob :-), discovered this Ginger Ale and LOVED it. We bought several for her during our trip and then took a case home with us. I have since ordered more and had it shipped — it’s worth it for her! You won’t go wrong buying this!
