Inspiration
During the eighteenth century, delft pottery served, in part, as a less expensive imitation of Chinese porcelain. This tin-glazed earthenware was made in the Netherlands and other areas of Continental Europe, but the majority of the delft owned in colonial America was manufactured in England.
