Inspiration
During the eighteenth century, Delft pottery served, in part, as a less expensive imitation of Chinese porcelain. This tin-glazed earthenware was produced in the Netherlands and other areas of Continental Europe; however, the majority of the Delftware owned in colonial America was manufactured in England.
