Inspiration
Shrubs were made in the 18th century from fresh fruit and sugar, left to ferment into vinegar. After fermentation, more sugar was added to the mixture, providing a tart, sweet, and refreshing syrup that could be enjoyed in cocktails, desserts, and sauces.

Sparkling Cranberry Cosmopolitan
This classy Cosmo comes to us from our friends at Gigi’s Southern Table in State College. Best enjoyed with good food and good company!
- 1 1/2 oz. Vodka
- 3/4 oz. Orange Liqueur (Combier or Cointreau)
- 3/4 oz. Tait Farm Cranberry Shrub
- 1 oz. Champagne or Prosecco
- Squeeze of lime wedge
- Lime twist, frozen cranberries (for garnish)
In a shaker with ice combine all ingredients. Shake & strain into a martini glass, top w/ champagne. Garnish with a lime twist and/or cranberries.

This seasonally-inspired cocktail is the perfect party drink! The addition of Cranberry Shrub offers a unique tart and fruity twist. Enjoy!
- 1 oz. Tait Farm Cranberry Shrub
- 2 oz. Vodka
- 1/2 oz. fresh lime juice
- Ginger beer
- Ice
- Fresh cranberries and a wedge of lime for garnish
Fill a copper mug with ice. Add the Cranberry Shrub, vodka, and lime juice. Top with the ginger beer, stir, garnish with lime and cranberries. Serve immediately.
Shrub Sparkler (Non-Alcoholic)
A Shrub Sparkler is a non-alcoholic spritzer the whole crowd can enjoy!
- 1 oz. Tait Farm Shrub
- 6 oz. chilled sparkling water
- Ice and fresh fruit and/or herb garnish
- Sweet tooth? Add a splash of ginger ale or lemon-lime soda.
Fill a glass 2∕3 full with ice. Add shrub, top with chilled sparkling water, and if desired, ginger ale or lemon-lime soda. Stir gently. Garnish with fresh fruit and/or herb garnish.
