The original crewel wool needlework piece is a masterpiece of design and execution. It shows characteristic English quilting, worked in yellow back stitches, giving a subtle but energetic background to the brilliant scrolling leaves and flowers. The botanical elements twist and turn toward one another in an exuberant baroque manner. Handmade with high-quality wool fibers.
