He holds a pewter Revere-style mug and a clay pipe. This traditional Christmas folk-art decoration will bring joy year after year. A rare Vaillancourt find, this piece was made from a retired mold used to create a limited run of figurines for America's 250th anniversary, so get one while you can!
Vaillancourt chalkware pieces have a narrow depth, making them excellent Christmas decorations for fireplace mantels, bookshelves, narrow hallway tables, or other tight spaces.

Inspiration
Each piece begins as an antique chocolate mold from the Vaillancourt collection, then gets re-sculpted with new details and holiday motifs. A new mold, made from the re-sculpted piece, is filled with a plaster-like substance and dried. The resulting "chalkware" is then hand-painted, bringing to life the mold maker's intricate artistry and the festivity of Colonial Williamsburg's holiday season. Vaillancourt's chalkware figurines reflect the collections of Colonial Williamsburg's Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Folk Art Museum.
