Inspiration
A scroll design in the background of a map in the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation collections inspired the Baroque Filigree jewelry collection. Influenced by the 1594 version drawn by Petrus Plancius, this 17th-century version, attributed to the Dutch engraver Johannes van Doetichum, depicts the world in two hemispheres and includes new information on South America, with an inset showing the Solomon Islands.
