Product Care
You may notice a white film on the surface of your beeswax candles, known as "bloom." Bloom is not a defect, but a natural process that occurs on the surface of 100% beeswax candles. To remove bloom, gently rub the surface with a soft cloth. Or allow the bloom to continue for a snowflake-like texture on your candles' surfaces.
Inspiration
Before oil lamps and electricity, candles were a necessity in every 18th-century household. The most common tallow candles burned quickly, produced dim light, and had a pungent odor. Beeswax candles not only smelled sweet but also burned cleaner and longer than tallow candles, producing brighter light. Beeswax candles were a luxury only the very wealthy could afford.
